NEW CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF UMP JSC

On October 7, 2021 the Sole Shareholder of all voting shares of UMP JSC decided to elect Dosbolat A. Sarymsakov as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of UMP JSC for a period until the expiration of the term of powers of the Board of Directors of UMP JSC as a whole (Minutes No. 12/21 dated October 7, 2021 of the in-person meeting of the Board of Directors of NAC Kazatomprom JSC).

Dosbolat A. Sarymsakov

Citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Born in 1971.

In 1996 he graduated from the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University with a degree in Physics and in 1999 the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan with a degree in International Relations.

He began his career in 1995 as a Senior Expert of the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In the period of 1996 to 2011 he worked as an Engineer at the Atomic Energy Institute of the National Nuclear Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as a Manager at the «Institute for Nonproliferation» Association (later the «Center for Assistance to Nonproliferation» Association). Since January 2008 he has been appointed to the Executive Director of the «Center for Assistance to Nonproliferation» Association.

He began his career at NAC Kazatomprom JSC in April 2011 as a Manager of the NFC Projects Department. In October 2017 he was transferred to the position of the Director of the NFC Projects Department.

In September 2021 he was appointed to the Senior Director for NFC.

Since September 24, 2021 he has been a member of the Management Board of NAC Kazatomprom JSC.

Achievements:

– Certificate of honor of Samruk-Kazyna JSC on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan (December, 2016);

– Honorary badge for professional merits and contribution to the development of the nuclear industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan (July, 2017);

– Honorary badge «Honored Employee of the Nuclear Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan (September, 2018).
