Ready to produce Fuel Assemblies type AFA 3G A!

On January 12 CGNPC-URC granted the certificate No. 3421001 recognizing Ulba-FA as a qualified supplier of the Fuel Assemblies type AFA 3G A.

On December 18, 2023 Ulba-FA successfully completed qualification of the plant for the production of Fuel Assemblies type AFA 3G A and received the certificate from the technology owner i.e., the French company Framatome. Qualification allows the plant to produce the Fuel Assemblies type AFA 3G A in addition to the Fuel Assemblies type AFA 3G AA. Therefore, the range of the manufactured product is extended.

Before production start Ulba-FA plant was supposed to pass the procedure of recognizing it as a qualified supplier of the Fuel Assemblies type AFA 3G A by the Customer CGNPC-URC. It included evaluation of the full scope of Ulba-FA’s activities: starting from the procedure for storing components for FA production to reviewing external audit reports. Within a short time Ulba-FA experts provided all necessary documents and introduced the missing procedures to the manufacturing process which allows ensuring new type FA production at a higher level. The first delivery of the order for this type of Fuel Assemblies will take place in May 2024.
