UMP JSC includes large metallurgical production facilities: Uranium, Beryllium and Tantalum, as well as a developed infrastructure of auxiliary units.
The manufacturer of Uranium fuel components for nuclear power plants is Uranium Operations. The products of Uranium Operations (Uranium dioxide powders and fuel pellets) are certified by the largest fuel producers in the world. Deliveries are made to countries in North America, Europe and Asia.
UMP JSC Beryllium Operations is also unique, operating in a full cycle: from processing ore concentrates to the production of a wide range of products based on Beryllium and its alloys. Finished products are sold in the EU and the EAEU, Turkey, USA, China and other countries of Southeast Asia.
The only Tantalum Operations in the CIS that has a full production cycle – from processing raw materials to obtaining finished Tantalum-Niobium products with specified quality parameters. Among the partners of the Tantalum production facility at UMP are companies from the USA, Russia, France, Germany and Japan.
The following auxiliary production facilities contribute to the Company’s activities: energy, service centers, motor transport and warehouse facilities. Modern scientific and technical base of the Company, represented by Scientific and Test Centers, Ulba Design Institute (UDI) and Information Technology Center (ITC), contributes to increasing the competitiveness of the products manufactured at UMP JSC.
A subsidiary of UMP JSC is MASHZAVOD LLP, which has extensive experience in the production of complex high-precision equipment from carbon, stainless and heat-resistant steels and alloys, as well as from polymeric materials for the nuclear, mining, processing, chemical and oil and gas industries.
The plant has also implemented a major investment project: Ulba-FA LLP. Production of fuel assemblies (FA) with a capacity of 200 tons per year. Thanks to it, for the first time in the history of independent Kazakhstan, industrial fuel assemblies are being manufactured! The project ensures the loading of UMP’s capacities for the manufacture of fuel pellets, and also increased the number of jobs and budget allocations. Fuel assemblies are export products for Chinese nuclear power plants.
