Goal Achieved
Ulba Metallurgical Plant held flood prevention training and tactical exercises to practice actions in possible emergency situations during spring floods.
Twenty-six people participated: the plant’s Emergency Technical Team, ПАСП-101 (Emergency Response Unit) and medical staff from Medium Clinic. A total of 7 units of equipment were involved, including specialized vehicles and motor pumps with a total capacity of up to 410m³ of water per hour.
The participants practiced emergency notification procedures, evacuation, and deployment to the site of the meltwater flooding, as well as measures to reduce the water level using pumping equipment. Medical staff provided first aid to a simulated casualty and arranged their transportation.
The results of the exercises confirmed the units’ readiness for prompt and coordinated action in emergency situations.
