We are for a clean Kazakhstan!
Ulba Metallurgical Plant joined the national environmental campaign “Taza Kazakhstan,” which took place via a video conference featuring Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
As part of the campaign, 300 employees planted 100 young fir and rowan trees on the plant’s grounds. The initiative was part of a large-scale environmental campaign that brought together residents of the East Kazakhstan Region.
Care for the environment is one of UMP’s top priorities. In the past two years alone, the company’s employees have planted more than 20,000 trees and participated in 22 environmental protection events. At the same time, the plant is implementing projects aimed at reducing its environmental impact, improving the effectiveness of its environmental protection efforts, and promoting the rational use of resources.
Participation in the “Taza Kazakhstan” campaign marked another step toward greening the area and supporting the region’s environmental initiatives.
